Flexo Printer Slotter
In modern corrugated systems, rolls are replaced automatically using splicing equipment (also called splicing). The name comes from the English word "to splice," meaning "join" or "splice" - a nautical term used to join ropes or for weaving eyelets.
While the old reel runs on one arm of the unreel, the new reel is ready for replacement. The starting end of the new web is pulled through a roller into the "adhesive trolley," sucked through vacuum and prepared to be glued to both sides. The starting portion of the coil prepared in this manner is then placed close to the "old" sheet still in operation.
